Hello from soggy Britain. Lots of flooding again in the midlands and south. Lucky for us we live in the driest part of England!
Two weekends ago we had a friend visit from London. We drove her to the North Norfolk coast on the first day. We visited a small village called Heydon where Roger's mom grew up and where one of Roger's friends lived. It is here that, in 1976, they filmed an episode of Mony Python called "The Village Idiot". Here's the link on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNBNqUdqm1E. You can see Roger's friend's house in the background, one scene being where the "woman" pours a bowl of liquid over the man's head. As we were visiting Heydon on this weekend trip, a woman came out of said house. I took the liberty of asking if she knew this friend's family's where abouts. She quickly asked her mother who was very gracious and invited us in to see the back garden! What a treat for Roger to be able to visit again - he was 8 years old the last time there and it hadn't changed much at all! And how nice to meet generous people in today's world.
Speaking of the world, guess we are still here after this morning's experiment of the big bang theory under the Swiss border. If I disappear, someone let me know.
