Good Morning Campers!

It's beginning to look very atumnal here, starting yesterday. A few leaves are turning and the nights are drawing in. It starts getting dark about 7:30pm here. Considering in San Diego the latest summer evening would last until 8:30pm, this is nothing....but you soon get accustomed to it. It stays light until 10:30 - 11:00pm in June.

We just had the August Bank holiday weekend (3 days) and had a friend visit from Essex. We had met her in Greece in 2007. We spent the weekend sight-seeing and on Sunday, we met another couple whom we all had also met on the same trip. We met halfway in a small village called Lexfield at a pub called The Kings Head. It was built in 1560!! This is mind boggling to this American, tho you think I'd be used to it by now. We arrived at 10:30am and although the pub didn't officially open until noon, the owner let us go into the back garden (yard) and brought out coffee. The owner was a hoot and we enjoyed a bit of banter with him. We stayed for lunch and after 4 hours decided it was time to move along. Our next stop was Framlingham, about 15 minutes away where we toured the castle. Well, more like ruins of a castle but never the less, interesting. The weekend was full of wine and good cheer. It was a great reunion and we look forward to more visits together.

I've succombed to starting a Facebook page, however, don't get your hopes up in thinking I'll be more current with it. I just felt it a good way to keep in better touch with folks. I'll still be keeping this one up...as much as I do.

Jill
