Happy Easter one and all!
I've just recovered from a c-c-c-cold that Roger so generously passed my way. Took Friday and Monday off to make a long weekend but not exactly my cuppa to feel this way. Anyway, on the mend I am.
Had some some news last week that a work collegue of mine passed away. She was found dead in her flat and the sad truth is that it has been ruled as suicide. I had to miss her funeral on Saturday due to my cold, but I heard there were over 100 people there. How sad she couldn't see how much she was loved.
On the same day, a British celeb of some sort, had a Princess Diane type funeral procession. Her name was Jade Goody and she epitimizes the worst type of celebrity fame, having made her claim on the Big Brother reality t.v. series. But after all is said and done, she left her mark in a positive way by encouraging young women to be checked for cervical cancer early on. I read that Farrah Fawcett is battling cancer now too and has entered hospice. The end of an era in my opinion.
Tomorrow is Roger's birthday and we are having a meal out with friends to celebrate. Saturday my son and a friend of his come to visit for a week! They both want to go to London and Paris during this time too - but do they remember a little something called JET LAG??! And all in a week? Kellan turns 23 next week! Am I really that old?? The university if closed beginning tomorrow through next Tuesday but I will be off the whole week with Kellan's visit. :)
My friend Ann is getting better! She is in hospital with Guillain Barre' syndrome which leaves a person paralized. She has movement in her upper body, elbows and knees now. I visited with her last week and she is upbeat considering she has a long rehabilitation process ahead of her. Please keep Ann in your prayers.
I can see signs of spring arriving and England is beautiful this time of year!
So ~ an epilogue this morning ~ bet ya didn't expect that, eh?!
For now - take care!
