Fab restaurant.

Hello out there....
Since my last post we have been to the southwest of England to the counties of Devon and Cornwall. Had a fab time, weather was mostly dry but for a couple days of heavy rain. Still we were able to visit several sights including Stone Henge, Plymouth, Lands End, Clovelly (village set on a steep hillside) Tintagel (King Arthor's Castle) and the Eden Project among others.
The first night we stayed with friends in a beautiful b&b in Wiltshire county. They have 11 cats and 6 dogs!! But they are kept away from the guests generally. Link: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g1088521-d215175-Reviews-The_Beadles-Winterslow_Wiltshire_England.html.
The second night we stayed in Poole, on the southern border in Dorset county with a friend who was a wonderful hostess. The next two nights were spent at an old farmhouse, which was NOT so good. The place hadn't been re-done since the early 70's it looked like. The woman who ran it was very nice however, but the "private parking" she put in her ad was really behind the farm house next to the chicken sheds! It was fun tho to see the free range chickens running around. On one of these days we travelled to Plymouth and I found myself standing (unknowingly) on the spot where the Pilgrims stood as they waited to board the Mayflower to the new world. When I realized this, I got all emotional. Memories of grade school and history books came flooding back to me. It truly was history come to life. We also climbed down to the village of clovelly - and back up again - yeowww, my legs!
The next two nights were spent in Falmouth, Cornwall at a much better farm house. The owner there told me they have a resident ghost of a little girl, who drowned at age 12. Fascinating! From here we visited the spectacular scenery of Cornwall - the cliffs are amazing! We drove down several narrow one-car width lanes and prayed we didn't meet anyone coming!!
Upon our return we stayed at the best b&b in Somerset. Truly wonderful and it was just like out of a posh magazine. Here is the link: http://www.fulfordgrange.co.uk/. The owners were so nice and I felt like we'd known them for years.
We had a lovely time and ate at some fabulous places. I've attached a few photos to show the brilliant beauty of England!
Back at home, we visited the local BBC studios for a tour yesterday. Roger took these photos of me presenting the weather, lol!

For now,

Jill
