Getting better - not so long in between postings!

Well, we had a great week in Gig Harbor visiting my family! The flight over was interesting, stopping in Amsterdam for a couple hours to change planes.....not forgetting that we stood in line, having the gate agent check our tickets and passing us through to have our items scanned before boarding........only to find out we were in line for Minneapolis! Someone's not doing their job!! Quickly sorted and we were on our way to Seattle. I might just say that the airport in Amsterdam is huge and decoratedly beautifully for Christmas. I loved the shops and seeing REAL clogs was kinda cool. We arrived safely in Seattle and after a pint of beer in a failing attempt to ward off jetlag, we met up with Kellan just off his plane. The week flew by, visiting with my mother daily who is doing MUCH better. We enjoyed many a nice dinner with my brother and his wife at various brew pubs. Kellan chaufered us around and the camera was constantly clicking away. I was able to do my most-anticipated Walmart run so I was a happy camper. Hopefully photos will be available sometime soon to put up (not of Walmart). Thanksgiving day was yummy! Roger experienced his first one ever, with family and friends hovering over the turkey feast. We never really got over jetlag, having crashed out at 8:00 each night (the beer probably didn't help). And on return still had it, but in reverse!

Roger has been working each night on building and installing our bedroom furniture and it is looking very nice. You would never know it is the same house he carried me over the threshold into two years ago!! Hard to believe it will soon be finished - except for the back yard which will happen in February.

Now it is almost Christmas. I was in the city last weekend and could see no difference between the Brits and Americans when it comes to commercialism. I managed to grab a few items and escape the majority of maddening crowds. We have received a couple Xmas party invites including the celebration of the solstise again this year so we look forward to playing the traditional English game of "Pass the Parcel" and the seasonal dancing around the insense-infused fire with sparklers!

And that's it for now.....cheerio!
