I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST YESTERDAY!!! This is a momentos occasion as the UK driving test is THE hardest in the world.....! Let me tell you, I wasn't half nervous! I had a wonderful driving instructor who taught me well. The man who gave me the test was very kind and we had a lot to chat about as he had been to San Diego about 10 years ago, was doing up his house and had a similar love story to ours. I think he also figured if I had been driving all these years in the States that I would do well over here too. I was shocked though to hear him say I'd passed as I fully expected the opposite. I grabbed his arm twice in excitement and said I passed?!! Oh I could hug you! And then thought.....maybe not. At any rate, I shed a few tears of happiness with Jane (my instructor) and then headed back to the university to tell Roger the good news. He was waiting with baited breath in a circle of friends in the coffee room and when I walked in and proudly proclaimed the good news, a cheer went up. Hate to think what they've done if I'd failed! Still sporting a massive headache (the test was 45 minutes long and intense) I took it easy in the evening.
Sorry to report after two days the ducks have moved on to further adventures. The cows were sitting down this morning and it has been beautiful today, so that blows that theory.
